About Our Apostle
Apostle Nickey Lewin was born on Novemeber 30th 1958 in Montego Bay, Jamaica to his parents Rupert and Mary Lewin. Apostle Nickey accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his life January of 1972. Confirmed his faith and belief through water baptism in March 1975 and on December 28th of the same year he was baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. In 1978 Apostle Nickey migrated to the United States when he recieved a soccer scholarship to Western Illiois University (W.I.U.). While attendning W.I.U. God spoke to him in a vision and told him that his chuildhood friend of the third grade would be his wife. On April 30th 1983, this became a reality when he proposed and married June Armstrong-Lewin. Today they are the proud parents of Terita, Namona, and Nickey Jr. They have also adopted the entire family of Christain Worship Outreach Center where they serve as pastors. In 1990 Apostle Nickey was ordained as a minister of the gospel and served as senior associate pastor for Missionary Evangelistic Center (M.E.C.) Ministries, Miami for nine years.
One of the guiding principles of Apostle Nickey's life is that life must be like an equilateral triangle. That is, without the equal development of each part the triangle is incomplete. Like that triangle his life has length, width and height. The length of Apostle Nickey Lewin's life has been to realize his full potential. To this end, Apostle Nickey recieved a Bachelor's degree of science from W.I.U. and a Master of Public Health Degree from Florida International University (F.I.U.) Apostle Nickey has worked in the field of Public Health for over twenty-five years and has prayed for and now seen this discipline shift its focus and now embraces the reality that the strengthening of the spiritual man is essential in defining the optimal health of the individual. Apostle Nickey is curently working on a Master of Arts degree in Counceling Psychology at Trininty International University. As the length of his life deals with achieving personal goals, the width has more to do with the extent to which Apostle Nickey is able to help others realize their dreams. To this end he has served on many committies an has received numerous awards for outstanding community services. In public health, Apostle Nickey not only learned how to prevent disease, but more so to empower individuals to take control of their lives.
The height of his life has everything to with his relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. At the age of seven he was diagosed with retinitus pigmentosa. Apostle Nickey was he would be totally blind by athe age of nineteen. His relationaship with Christ has bever been broken since. This disapointing news plunged him into divine destiny.
If his vision impairment was not enough to test Apostle Nickey's faith, he suffered a stroke in May 2000 which completely paralixed the left side of his body. Today God has not only given him the miracle of life but also a mandate sealed with a commission to influence social policies and effectuate changes that are consistant with the Word of God, Apostle Nickey is a man on a mission whose life is driven with a a purpose; that is, to prepare mankind for the return of the King of kings and Lord of lords, the savior of the world Jesus Christ.
